In home respite with bttr gives families planned breaks while a trained support person stays with the adult at home. The focus is supervision comfort and safety while caregivers rest or take care of life.

Available only through the Self Determination Program. Families add bttr to their approved plan through their Financial Management Service and independent facilitator.

In home respite gives family caregivers time to rest while a trained direct support person stays with the adult at home. It focuses on supervision comfort and safety not coaching or teaching. Hours come from your Self Determination budget and assessment.

How respite hours work

Clear simple scheduling that matches your Self Determination plan.

Minimum of five hours
Every respite visit begins at five hours to ensure support is meaningful and helpful for the family.
Weekly flexibility
Families choose the days and times. Visits can be spread across the week based on your routine.
Up to forty hours monthly
Monthly totals are set through your Self Determination assessment and approved spending plan.
