Self Determination Program

Your budget. Your plan. Your bttr.

The Self Determination Program gives you an individual budget instead of a menu of regional center services. You decide what support you need, who provides it, and when. An independent facilitator helps you build the plan, a financial management service (FMS) pays the bills, and your regional center certifies the budget.

bttr Living serves SDP participants at every regional center in California. We are paid through your FMS, we bill only what your family approves, and we build each service around the person, not the program. Here is what we offer, what each service means, and how we have structured it.
